Weekly Wrap-Up Wednesday January 10-16, 2019

Wrap-UP

My weekly wrap-ups will include the books I read the past week. This way I am hoping to do mini reviews for all the books I read.

I read a total of 3 books this week. This is a little slower than I have been doing in the past month or so, but I still feel pretty good about my reading pace.

Not a Drop to Drink (Not a Drop to Drink, #1)

Not a Drop to Drink (Not a Drop to Drink, #1) by Mindy McGinnis
Format: Audiobook
Genre: YA Dystopian
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Narrator: Cassandra Campbell
Narrator Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Date finished: 01/10/2019

This was a great listen. I loved the characters. I understood where they were coming from even if I didn’t always agree with them. The premise was believable and could even be considered realistic if something were to happen to the world’s water supply like it did in this book.

In a Handful of Dust (Not a Drop to Drink, #2)

In a Handful of Dust (Not a Drop to Drink, #2) by Mindy McGinnis
Format: Audiobook
Genre: YA Dystopian
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Narrator: Cassandra Campbell
Narrator Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Date finished: 01/15/2019

I enjoyed the first book so much that I continued on with the second book in the series. Let me tell you, some stuff went down in this book. There were a few times I gasped out loud while listening. I would have rated it 4 stars if it were not for that darn ending.

Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices, #1)

Lady Midnight(The Dark Artifices, #1) by Cassandra Clare
Format: Print book
Genre: YA Fantasy Romance
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Date finished: 01/12/2019

You can read my thoughts while reading this book here. I am a bit late to this party. This book started out pretty slow for me, but when it got going, it really got doing. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to continue on with the series.

I also DNFed one book this week And I Darken (The Conqueror’s Saga #1) by Kiersten White. I just could not get into it and I felt it was too slow as well as being longer than it needed to be.

How has your reading week been?
